  • Performs relatively complex assignments, including, but not limited to
    • Reading & interpreting legal services from all 50 States and federal jurisdiction to determine action required by Citi. Proper interpretation of legal services critical as laws and rules vary by state and federal jurisdictions.
    • Reviews, classifies, and routes complex pleadings and documents to appropriate legal or operations departments.
    • Reviewing prior history to determine disposition of service.
    • Ensuring financials are processed timely and accurately.
    • Ensuring documents are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Performing required account maintenance to place and remove blocks and limit card access to mitigate financial risk.
    • Determining and providing appropriate response to legal services.
    • Interacting via written and verbal communications with courts, attorneys, state and federal government, and clients to ensure appropriate action is taken in regards to legal services. This includes preparing and filing responses to legal services, such as responses to interrogatories, responses to subpoenas and restraining notices, general affidavits, general objections to services, and invoices.
  • Has direct impact on the business by :
    • Ensuring the quality of the tasks or services to mitigate both financial and reputational risk due to non-compliance with Legal Services.
    • Responding to legal services accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Freezing in excess of $2 million in customer money annually.
    • Responsible for the generation of over $200M in fee revenue annually.
  • Works under little to no direct supervision.
  • Service an expansive and/or diverse array of legal services, including but not limited to:
    • Subpoenas for records on civil, federal and grand jury cases.
    • Information Subpoenas
    • Tax Levies
    • Restraining Notices
    • Child Support Levies
    • Freeze Orders
    • Search & Seizure Warrants
    • Citations
    • Court Orders in Civil Actions
    • Court Orders in Criminal Actions
  • Service an expansive and/or diverse array of products, including but not limited to:
  • Checking, savings, money market, certificate of deposit, safe deposit boxes
  • Credit cards
  • Mortgages and Equity Lines of Credit
  • Auto loans
  • Sensitive employee records
  • Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives.
  • Understands and demonstrates how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team and how the team coordinates its efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the functions by adjusting to ever changing work assignments and volumes in support of line balancing required to achieve departmental and business goals.
  • Ensures the quality and service of self and others by communicating with peers and escalating issues when they arise as part of the downstream workflow, to allow for timely communication and correction of identified errors.
  • May recommend new options to enhance productivity, efficiency, and costs to allow for the department to reach its goal of continuance improvement.
  • Is sensitive to audience diversity and requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex and sensitive information with other departments and especially when communicating with courts, non-Citibank attorneys, and state and federal government.
  • Must have basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies to ensure adherence to corporate policies and understand impact of actions taken.


  • High School diploma or equivalent. 2 – 4 years relevant experience
  • Strong investigative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Citi systems used by Legal Support
