Job Summary:

Under general supervision, assists in the negotiation of managed care agreements. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating managed care contractual arrangements for all affiliated entities of the medical facility. Analyzes contractual language for functional, financial, and ethical appropriateness, determining compliance and consistency with established legal requirements and parameters.

Job Duties:

• Assists management in reviewing new and existing managed care relationships/contracts for negotiation, renegotiation, and, when appropriate, termination.
• Establish letters of agreement (LOA), and single case agreements with commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare health plans.
• Assists with the organization and direction of a comprehensive and specialized credentialing program to ensure continued accreditation by regulatory organizations.
• Prepares and analyzes financial reports and analyzes and evaluates the impact of specific managed care arrangements.
• Assist with Payer setup process, education on new and existing payer relationship, and coordinate administrative access duties for Rev. Cycle, department staff to appropriate web portals, and web dashboard related payer tools.
• Builds a collaborative relationship with internal/external staff
• Collaborates with Patient Accounts staff in working on Payor contracts/Claims/Administrative issues.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a health care field is required.

Experience:

Four (4) years of experience is required. Experience working for a provider and dealing with professional claims and contracts is preferred. Strong analytical, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills would be preferred for the role.
